报告摘要:
Elastocapillary phenomena involving elastic deformation of solid structures coupled with capillary effects of liquid droplets/films can be observed in a diversity of fields, e.g., biology and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). In this talk, we will demonstrate what we have done in recent years. The topic mainly deals with the following aspects:
(1) Capillary adhesion of micro/nanobeams (nanowires, nanotubes, and MEMS structures). We proposed a new approach, i.e. the energy functional variation with movable boundary conditions to solve this kind of problem.
(2) Abnormal bending of microbeams or microplates. We presented the analytical solutions of the beam/plate deflections induced by capillary forces, and the results are compared with FEM simulations.
(3) Capillarity induced microtube deformation. We calculated the deformation caused by a droplet inside or outside of a microtube, based on the Mooney-Rivlin constitutive relation.
These analyses can also be generalized to investigate the buoyant force of a water strider, and the adhesion of a cell on a solid substrate.
报告人简介:
刘建林,男,1977年生于青岛。先后获青岛大学机械电子工程专业学士学位(2000.7)、北京科技大学固体力学专业硕士学位(2003.7)、清华大学力学专业博士学位(2008.1)。曾于韩国首尔国立大学从事博士后研究,并赴意大利国际理论物理中心、希腊亚里士多德大学、以色列安雷尔大学、北京大学等机构进行短期合作研究。自2008年2月起担任中国石油大学(华东)储运与建筑工程学院工程力学系讲师、副教授(破格)、教授(破格)。主要从事固/液表界面力学与仿生力学的研究,目前已撰写英文丛书章节2章,受邀撰写综述文章4篇;已发表论文被SCI收录30余篇,他引200余次。曾获得山东省自然科学杰出青年基金资助和第九届青岛市青年科技奖。
